Argentina Presentation

On Friday last week we presented our information we discovered about Argentina.  We had a great time presenting to the syndicate.  Here is our presentation and a film of us presenting it.

Touch traning

This is going to be fun and awesome also we will try to learn how to play it.

I am expecting to learn new moves for Touch and also get a try. I think I'm going to see Shaun  Johnson because he used to play touch.

              

Manaiakalani film festival

On a sunny day there were 3000 students who went to Sylvia  Park, hoyts. There was St Pius X, St Patrick's, Glen Innes Primary, Panmure Bridge and Pt England. We were  sitting in a seat because it was time to watch the movies. I saw Patrick and Alecia up on the stage. Our movie was called success. Everybody cheered then we were watching our one.  It was then time to watch Pt England and St Patrick’s movies.  My favorite movie Glen Innes Primary’s movie. It was so funny that there can be no chocolate in the world. I was relaxed sitting on the seat watching the other movies. When we were finished we line up for the bus and left. It was so fun.

Practise Prompt 5

on a cool machine day   they were two people one is called Greg and the other girl named Michelle.  and Greg wants to spray her hair and Michelle wants to have fun when Greg is blow her hair to have fun. she got white goggles or glasses and Greg said want be to spray your hair and Michelle said yes then Greg blow her hair then she said it fun then she was so happy. then Michelle  got her tongue out when Greg was blow her hair.

This animal is called monkey toes and he got soft fur and a feet  and  is hair is flat soft hair. and he is in the jungle where animals live. and he is climbing up a tall tree with a long stick and he can make a noise and he can run fast up to the tree.  and he got legs and hands so that he could climbing very fast.

When People came to the beach they sit down and enjoy the sun  and some people are having a swimming because they like it.  and the lifeguard always see people that needs help when they are far away.

Squash

On a lovely day at monday we had to play at morning tea then i heard the bell ring it was time to play squash we line up and  then we saw phil was standing there then he said welcome to squash. then we sat down we watch phil and michael play how to  play and watch. then we watch who is winning. phil got the first score and then on the next round michael won round 2 then on the other one we had to get up and play we were in groups and then we went in to and practice some skills. then after phil said it change over time the skills well the other group was going to the squash wall. then we were learning some skills how to play like how to balance the Ball n we change over to squash. then after we learn how to play squash then michael said start now so then we were starting off with this two people  and then they done it next it was me and ezra was next with the squash wall.

Duffy Theatre

On a lovely, sunny Friday we had duffy theater and the characters were Afi, Miss Rude, Lovely, Duffy, Scruffy and Vautra. My favourite part was when Afi and Duffy were guessing the words and then Duffy was asleep. He had a dream then he woke up and Vautra came and said hi and Duffy said hi to Vautra. Duffy said “what are you doing here? you're not allowed”. then Vautra said “I want to challenge you”.  Duffy said “ok lets challenge”. They were thinking of a word to rhyme, then Vautra won. After that they changed over, Duffy was the referee then Vautra and Lovley were vs then lovley won.  Duffy said “try again” then he said “ok”. The next game was Vautra vs Miss Rude, Miss Rude won. Vautra was sad and he said “I will never give up, I will steal all your words”.

Kids for kids

On the evening of Friday 13th, 15 schools came to perform in the kids for kids concert. It was so joyful and exciting. Jackie Clark and Nathan King were singing with us. I said to myself “I am so hot and sweaty” when we were singing. Backstage we were playing some games and we were playing knucklebones and monkey barrel. When we got on stage I felt uncomfortable and I  was so tired and  nervous because the lights were hot, I was nervous again. At halftime we had some supper, we had chocolate and biscuits. We were playing knucklebones and monkey barrel again then we came out on the stage again. There were two soloists singing Weather With You, one of them was Rosalina from our class. Jackie Clark and Nathan King came out for the songs again. Chris was our conductor and he helped us to do the actions for all the songs.  All the people were cheering and supporting us. We were singing Poi e and there  were 2  dancers and 5 dancers for that song. All the people were laughing. Jackie said “this is the last song” and everybody said “oh no”. The last song was She’s A Mod.

Kids for Kids

On Friday we went for the kids for kids concert and we were singing with different school and their teachers.We had Chris he was the conductor the and we had to follow the actions he showed us.  The audience was really packed and the lights were hot.

St pius x feast day

On a rainy day we had teachers and parents celebrate St Pius X Feast Day. We sang songs and we had fun smiling. People were so happy then we had our hands waving and we celebrate together. Everyone had Holy Communion and everybody was so happy and joyful. Next we had to cut the cake into pieces, it was a banana cake. The cake was to celebrate St Pius X’s Feast day.

Maths Reflection

Today I learnt my basic facts because of Xtra maths and Math whizz. We have been talking about skills and and how to practise our skills in maths and think about what we are doing. The stage I'm at is Stage 3. I like maths because it is very helpful you to learn do it fast. I’m learning about fractions, how to read and write them.

St Pius X Feast Day

St pius X was born in June 2 1835. He grew up in italy. He had 8 brothers and sisters. St Pius X was real name it was Joseph Sarto. Joseph Sarto became a Priest and then a Bishop and a Cardinal, finishing as a Pope. St Pius X wanted everyone to get the Eucharist and to help the poor people.

Mere makes a cake

One day Mere was making a cake. While she was taking the cake out of the oven she saw that the cake didn’t work so she had to throw it out to the pig and try again. then she made  another cake it was burnt so she threw the cake to the pig again. The pig wasn't eating anymore because the pig was so full, he had a tummy ache. so then Mere was making another cake and it was perfect.

The Rainbow Bird

First there were heaps of birds standing there on the branches. Birds were rubbing  their bellies with colours but a storm and lightning started so the colour fell off.   The birds saved the rainbow from the roaches and their reward was that they had their feathers change colour.  They were colourful, they were happy.

How can you be Hygienic at School?

Runny Nose	We blow our nose into a tissue and throw the tissue in the rubbish.
Coughing	coughing is when you cough in your elbow and make sure don't cough too much.
Vomiting	vomiting means go to the toilet fast as you can.
Going to the toilet	toilet means you run fast to go quickly.
Keeping environment clean	soap to make your hands really clean.
Sweating	sweating means to go have a cool down like ice blocks or cold coccunts.
Uniform	when your uniform is so dirty clean it from the machine
Equipment	keep clean don’t messy it around.

10 Commandments

The pool

The pool is 15 metres long and 1 metre deep.  Our instructors names were Jillian and Kevin.

The pool smells like chlorine because of the germs that go inside the pool and  when somebody  jumps inside the pool the chlorine protects us from it all. The water is nice clean and warm.  

At the end of the pool are some pipes that run water from the pump on the outside of the tent.  It is in a big tent that is called a marquee. There is a machine that goes in the water that helps keep the water warm.

I have really liked having the pool at school.  It is so much fun floating and doing backstroke.

A covenant.

A covenant is a sacred serious agreement promise between God and Gods people.

Swimming Lessons

Last week we had Swimming it was really good fun.  We learnt how to do kicking and breathing.   

We had to touch the metal poles around the corners of the pool with our hands. We learnt how to do gliding by stretching out our hands in front of us, keeping our head down and our legs in a line. We also learnt how to float on our backs by holding on to a board and kicking our feet.

We were happy when Kevin said “you guys have free time for 1 minute”. We got this because we were good. I did diving under the water and I tried my best to do backstroke.

After an awesome swim we were told to get out of the pool. I was cold and shivering I grabbed my towel and headed back to class to get changed. then after we got change in our school uniform.

What I know about Water

My Pencil

A pencil is made out of wood because it very useful.

A pencil can be blunt or pointed and it is easy to hold. It can write on a piece of paper, some pens can draw on paper as well. A rubber is sometimes on the end of a pencil to rubber something out when you make a mistake.

A pencil is long and sharp and very helpful with your learning.

My Mother is beautiful Mother. I love her very much.

My Mum has black hair like the dark. She is a lady like a flower. My Mother looks after me when I'm sick. My Mother helps me to do the right thing.

Natasha is caring and she is special, she loves me a lot. My Mum likes Chicken and Taro. My Mum doesn't like seafood only a little bit. My Mum is really good at doing jobs to make us money.

My Mum can do heaps of things like cooking pancakes with syrup, strawberry and banana.

                      I love your apples, they look so nice. I wish I could try your apples because they look so fresh and nice.

It is nice that you grow your plants and I saw you grow some green apples too. The tractor driver takes the bins to the packing shed and the best apples go into a grading machine and get sorted in to sizes

What is triathlon?

A Triathlon run. You must make sure that you train for the event and run and bike and swim as much as you can.  The main rules are no cheating and not to ride your bike in the transition area. Triathlon is an Olympic Sport, it is also a good sport in Summer and it will help stay fit and healthy. In Triathlon you must always have fun and be proud of your self.

Silly Story

One day a gingerbread was staying at the library and he was reading a book called ‘Treasure is Gold’. The gingerbread man said “woo wow I want to find a treasure”.  He said to the lady in the library “where is the treasure?” He looked for it everywhere. The gingerbread said “oh man it is not here” then he stepped on something and he said “woo what’s this?” and he said “oh I hope it is treasure”. After that the gingerbread said “yay it is gold, finally it is real gold”. The gingerbread man said “I will call it the treasure is found then he buried it so no one else would find it.
